FIsherman's Terrace Seafood

Fisherman's Terrace is another Chinese restaurant that my family and I have been to countless times ever since I was a kid when they were still located by London Drugs on No.3 rd. Currently however, they are located in a more convenient location at Aberdeen Center where there's more parking spaces available and where it's indoors! So when your planning to go have Dim sum or dinner on a rainy day, you won't get as wet as you would be when it was located at their old place. Today, my mom was craving Dim sum and since we have to go do some errands in Aberdeen today, she suggested we go to Fisherman's for lunch.

Baked Bbq Pork Buns

MInced Beef Parsley Soup
Mixed Vegetable Soup
Pork Dumplings (Siomai)
Steamed Bbq Pork Buns
Bean Curd Rolls with Seaweed and Enoki Mushrooms
Stir Fried Veggie with Gingko Nuts

Yew Restaurant + Bar

Last weekend my family and I went to have lunch at Yew Restaurant + Bar at The Four Seasons Hotel. The restaurant is well known for their full event brunch on the weekends, where you can choose one item from their "To Start, To Follow and To Finish" menu for only $29. They also have a new section on their menu called "Lobster Signatures" where you can choose to include into their 3 course brunch (with an additional charge of $11 on top of the price of the lobster item). The restaurant is actually quite convenient since Yew can also be accessed through Pacific Center (through a door that connects the mall to the hotel right across from H&M) so parking won't be as hard compared to most restaurants in downtown. Another benefit of Yew is that you don't have to leave the mall if your thinking of eating there (especially in this weird unpredictable weather we've been having lately).

For a 3 course meal in a hotel that comes along with great quality, taste, ambiance and service for $29, is such a good deal to pass! So If your thinking of having brunch one weekend, I'd suggest you to go and try out Yew! You won't be disappointed!

Complimentary Mini Donuts - It was so goooood!

Pancakes
Cod Chowder
 Seafood Arancini
 Albacore Tuna Roll
Steak & Eggs
Lobster BLT - Worth paying extra $11 for!
The Burger - a bit dry but maybe because it was well done instead of medium rare
Tuna Nicoise
Ice Cream for Two - I hate marshmallow so I didn't like it as much as I thought I would but it would have been better without the marshmallow ice cream though.

Dinesty Chinese Restaurant

This restaurant is by far one of the best tasting and busiest Shanghai restaurants here in Richmond! Unfortunately this is also one of the hardest places to get a table if your coming here for lunch or dinner on a weekend. Since my family and I decided to come here for a late dinner on a Saturday, we thought that our chances of getting a table was pretty good since we arrived there at 8:30pm. To our surprise, the place was still packed! Not only that, there were still a lot of people ahead of us so we ended up waiting for half an hour before getting a table. Parking is also another thing for this place (especially during peak eating hours) since Dinesty is located in the same complex as Chapter's, Neptune Seafood, Neptune Wonton Noodle, Ebisu and Starbucks. But even though parking and getting a table was a challenge, for the quality, taste and price of food that you are getting, this place is worth going to that's for sure!

Cold Cucumbers with Garlic Sauce
Pickled Radish - Very unique compared to other places

Stir Fried Shredded Pork with Parsley and Onion - A lighter version of their Shredded Pork with Hoi Sin Sauce.
Egg Omelet with Pickle
Sweet and Sour Spare Ribs - ridiculously good!
Spicy String Beans with Shredded Pork - The String Beans were cooked perfectly but there wasn't as much Pork as I expected it to have. Overall it's a pretty good dish though.
Stir Fried Basa Fillet with Wine Sauce
Almond Tofu
Steamed Mashed Red Bean Dumplings - XLB like dessert with red bean filling

Happy Date Bakery & Restaurant

Happy Date is by far one of my favorite places to go to for cheap Chinese food. Since I've been wanting to go there for quite a while now, my mom was kind enough to treat me and my sisters to dinner there last night. The only down side of this place however is the amount of parking spaces available (but if your super desperate you could just park by Richmond Center and then walk over since it's only a block away from the mall).

Chinese Herbal Soup
Scrambled Eggs with Shrimp - So addicting!
 String Beans with Minced Pork
 Fish Fillet in Corn Sauce
Pork Chop in Honey and Peach Sauce
Preserved Mustard Greens with Braised Pork
Braised Mushroom with Broccoli
 Pork Chop in Orange Sauce
Chinese Style Beef Fillet Steak - The sauce is a-mazing!
